But, blimey, that ref missed a fair bit.
The bit I liked most was seeing Mike Phillips, big old unit that he is, gather a deep kick and set off on a rush-esque charge straight for Brian O’Driscoll. Now, the sun has gone from DO'D's smile since he was Captain for the BIL’s in NZ; he has had his Golden Boy image tarnished somewhat, but, by heck and by crikey, the boy is strong – Phillips went back the way he came at a rate of knots. All good fun. For BO'D, that is.
I thought the Neath Swansea Ospreys were, for once, more sinned against than sinning.
And the Ref reffed on reputation. Again. Though, Phillips's carding was kind-of justified.
And, having watched Eddie Butler’s little PTC (piece to camera) on Scrum Vee tonight, I do actually agree with him on one point – we really DO need to have the ability to pick-and-drive and, if it means one week of dire drudgery, I am prepared to put up with it. We just need to be precise and accurate when we try it, and try it only when we should. Oh, yes.
And I don’t want to go back to work as I fear I shall miss my Darling Wife and Daughter most dreadfully. The Little One is now three and a half months old and has been gurgling, squealing and smiling to her hearts content and my hearts melting this last two weeks.
She is gorgeous.
Oh, yes. Oh, most yes.
Ah, well.
As a special treat for you readers - a picture of My Little Ruby. Awww.
