Which has left some of us fed up and grumpy.
Yup, my little daughter is now three days over her due date. And my Mrs is getting a bit grumpy. I try and help the situation in any way I can (shouting at the fourth rugby match of the day on TV, checking the interweb for results, gabbling on about the subtleties and nuances of the Argentine defence against drives close to their line etc. etc.) but it doesn’t seem to be working as well as usual.
We are so excited and I pray all will be well and that soon we can hold our little (!?) bundle of joy and give her all the love she deserves.
Awwww.
So, don’t ring me unless you are The Wife and the waters have broken.
(I was chatting to Pistol Pete and he told me of the incredibly calm phone call from his wife who announced, ‘Peter, my waters have broken, you might want to come home.’
‘I think mine just have, too, love.’)

I think the final straw yesterday was when the DVD from Amazon Rental arrived. The Wife was bored and aching, so opened the package hoping for some light-hearted comedy-drama, perhaps. Well, suffice to say, she was not overly pleased to see ‘A Decade of the Tri-Nations’
I made the dinner last night.
Well, RWC is fab but yet to get any real momentum. The pitches look great, all the ‘Little Teams’ are very keen and Wales, I humbly suggest, have done the best out of the 6 Nation teams. So far…
The French choked it and Argentina were superb. My brother Julian reckons it was one of the best half-dozen games he has seen. He always comes up with these grandiose statements and I am loath to agree with him. Ever. But it really WAS a cracker. Anyone who knows their rugby can’t fail to agree. Sod the skill levels – the intensity was immense and did for JohnnyFrog.
The only worry, now, is which team will take the unholy walloping of a backlash from Les Bleus…
And how the hell will we beat the Walla-walla-bies come Saturday?! The forwards must play out of their skins and the backs tackle, tackle, tackle. I am writing this before the team announcement for Wales/Australia but hope that Jenkins holds faith with two centres; not playing Hook in a position he is glaringly not suited to, namely inside centre. He is a potentially world class player, sure, but only at 10. Honest.
We shall see.
