I actually have a framed photograph of the five new caps who the newspapers referred to as ‘Bowring’s Babes’. They all won their first cap against Italy either late 1995 or early 1996.
They are:-
Gwyn Jones (open side flanker)
Arwel Thomas (outside half)
Leigh Davies (centre)
Mathew Wintle (centre)
Andrew Lewis (prop)I think I capped Craig Quinnell later in the year!
